After purchasing our long term dream in the Highlands we were faced with the reality of our first private water supply.  Tests performed during purchase showed multiple issues including bacteria, E Coli and very high iron / manganese.  Not having a clue at we researched on the Internet and thankfully came across Private Water Scotland.  We’ve since been dealing with Adam and Emma, both of which have been absolutely amazing throughout!  The combination of exemplary customer service, detailed knowledge / experience, and a good helping of pragmatism meant a solution was quickly determined.  As we are still finalising long-term plans for the property Adam came up with an interim solution that can be re-used in part when we look at a borehole in the future.  Private Water Scotland completely refurbished the existing tank, lid, insulated pipe runs and built a new fenced enclosure in addition to the treatment equipment install.  Whilst on site they also identified an issue with how the existing services had been ran and hand dug the entire section in freezing rain and gale force winds to put it right.  The treatment equipment was installed impeccably neatly, well labelled and clearly had been planned with care.  The retest post installation showed zero across the bacteria and E Coli, plus a huge improvement across all other measurements that means everything is now well below the thresholds.  In summary we could not be happier with our experiences to date, and are having Private Water Scotland perform our scheduled maintenance until we are ready to look at ‘Phase 2’ with them.  We cannot recommend them highly enough; if you have issues or need a new solution then honestly look no further!
